TICKETS

Why choose Euronox?

Night trains are more than a railway trip. They are both travel and accommodation. While most railway operators in Europe have their booking portal, night trains are not easy to find among the huge number of available connections. To get your ticket on these websites, you need to know who does the connection and who sells it, otherwise you never will find your train.

Euronox bridges the gap between single railway operators and customers traveling without borders. Select your long distance trip by train in a few steps and get to know where you will spend the night while traveling to your destination – just like you do when you book a hotel or a flight. Whether you are a routine traveler or a newby in railway trips, on Euronox you can easily find any available overnight train, get detailed information about sleeping facilities, onboard services and pictures of the available accommodations.

Get the best prices for any connection. Euronox will guide you through the selection of your railway trip up to the ticket sales. Once you have found your train and have chosen all details, you will be redirected to the sales page of the train operator or its authorized reseller, which will collect the fare and issue the tickets without commission. Tickets will be provided directly from those who will carry you. Get full guarantee and the cancel policy of the train operator without any intermediary.

Electronic ticketing and online delivery
Times of paper tickets have almost gone. Book online and pay with international credit or debit card (some operators may also offer additional payment systems by bank transfer or payment providers). You will get your night train tickets instantly on your computer or mobile device. Non need to print it out (but you are free to do so) – just show the QR code of your booking to the train staff*

* some electronic tickets need to be printed out at the station on the releasing railway company ticket machine before boarding the train. In case you will be informed before buying your ticket.
Fares and Discounts
Tickets for long distance overnight trains have mostly all inclusive prices. This means that they are sold for a specific trip on a fixed travel date. Prices may change according to demand. Like with flights, cheaper tickets sell out quicker – the sooner you book, the better. Usually all inclusive price tickets cannot be combined with other railway tickets. Euronox shows all offers available for everybody, but not those who require special discount cards. In case you hold a card which gives you access to special fares, you should book the ticket directly with the railway company on their website.
Children fares
All railway operators give discounts for children. The maximum age for children may vary by company. You will be informed during the booking process about the allowed children age for your journey. Children below the age of 6 can travel as infants without the need to hold a ticket as long as they do not occupy a seat or bed. If you want them to have their seat/bed, please book a child ticket. The age limit for children for each company can be consulted at the travel conditions on the information pages of the train companies.
Luggage
On most trains You can carry 2-3 pieces of personal luggage for free, a suitcase, a rucksack or suitcase plus one item of hand luggage. For more details please consult the information pages of the train companies.
Pets
Most companies allow the transport of pets. On night trains you can carry a pet with you as long as you book an entire compartment. Some companies will provide special compartments or spaces for passengers traveling with pets. Extra fares may be required. You will be guided during the booking process. For more information please consult the travel conditions on the information pages of the train companies. Please get information prior to departure about special health requirements when entering another country with a pet. Inside EU a valid pet passport should be sufficient, but in non EU-countries rules may be different.
Bicycle transport/e-bikes/e-scooters
European Union strongly encourages railway companies to provide for bicycle transport on trains in order to promote sustainable mobility. Many trains have special bicycle compartments. If packed into special bags, bicycle and e-bike transport is almost always possible. You can easily check if bicycles are admitted on your train by clicking the info icon on the booking dialogue. Folded e-scooters can be carried on any train as part of your luggage. For more information please consult the travel conditions on the information pages of the train companies. As for charging e-bikes or e-scooters at on-board power sockets, this may not always work. However, as long as the charger has a power consumption similar to a laptop charger, it should work.
